The Hong Kong/Stanford University Charitable Trust was established on December 31, 1993 (the “Hong Kong Trust”). It is a charitable trust registered in Hong Kong that provides a vehicle for Hong Kong residents to make charitable contributions, which includes contributions to Stanford.

Relationship to Stanford

Stanford University is the sole member of the Hong Kong Trust as well as its beneficiary.

The Hong Kong Trust is administered through Stanford’s Office of Development ("OOD").

Governance

The Hong Kong Trust is administered by a committee, whose members are one local director/trustee and two directors/trustees from Stanford’s Office of Development (OOD).
